AYURVEDA LIFESTYLE

Those who have balanced doṣas, agnis, dhātus and malas* and who have a sense of well-being in themselves, their mind and their senses – are called HEALTHY.

Āyurveda is an ancient holistic science of life. Āyurveda is a 5000-year old science derived from Vedic philosophy. The word Āyurveda comes from two words: Āyus meaning LIFE and veda meaning knowledge or SCIENCE. Thus Āyurveda literally means the SCIENCE OF LIFE!

GOOD FOOD

Seven Constituents

Plasma, Blood, Muscle, Fat, Bone, Marrow, Sperm/Ovem are the seven constituents and ayurveda teaches you to make it more healthy.

Use of the Senses

Our senses allow us to learn, to protect ourselves, to enjoy our world. Can you imagine what it might be like to live your life without any of your senses?

BRING ĀYURVEDA INTO YOUR LIFE!

The 3 doṣā (also called humors) are similar to the 3 energies from the environment: wind, fire and earth. These energies are related to movement, transformation and structure in our body. Balanced doṣa, agni, dhātu and mala are essential for mind-body harmony; similarly if these are imbalanced disease must follow, as evidenced by today’s stressful lifestyle.

A healthy diet and lifestyle suitable to one's doṣa, agni, dhātu and mala or constitution along with certain herbs can restore harmonious rhythm in life.

As a holistic science, āyurveda takes into consideration the body, mind and spirit. It looks at the root cause of the disease and not just the symptoms. Since each individual has a different constitution, the diet, lifestyle & herbal recommendations for each person need to be tailored resulting in a truly individualized or personalized prescription. Because of this individualized approach, āyurvedaḥ has immense value in restoring and maintaining health.
